Bella's Nursery

Well when we got home from SC this week, we have been busy trying to get Bella's nursery ready! Fran had the whole week off so he did a majority of the work. He put together her crib and her dresser! And let me tell you, they both came in like a hundred pieces and did not look easy at all. So Thank you Daddy!! He also hung her letters and a cross over her crib, so sweet.

We still have some things we need to do and some items we need to get, but here are some pictures of our progress so far. We hope Bella likes it!!

3D/4D Ultrasound

Okay sorry I have not blogged in a while! Things have been busy with the holidays. We were down in SC for the holidays and this whole week we have been working on Miss Bella's nursery! Pictures to come!

The weekend before I went home to SC I went to get the 3D/4D Ultrasound done so I could check in on little Bella. I went to my friend's place called Baby To Be, here is the website: www.babytobeimages.com It is the cutest little boutique where you can go and get the ultrasound done but also bring family and friends to join in the fun. She also has a photography studio as well. I plan on taking Bella there for some newborn pics when she is born!

So good news, Bella is not Breech at this point and she was ready for her pictures to be taken! She cooperated pretty well. She was a little stubborn. I even made sure to drink a nice sugary drink before we went so she would move some, but she did her own thing as usual. But anyway, it was amazing to see her and get some idea of what she looks like. She yawned a lot, guess she was tired. She also made a lot of funny faces. I can't wait to meet her in person, but until then here are a few of her pictures from that day.

Thanks Linda for having us at Baby To Be!! We had a blast and look forward to coming back!

First Snow of the Season!

Good thing I am working from home today, no driving, because it is snowing! It is our first snow of the year here in DC and it is beautiful! Only expected to get 1-3 inches, so that is good. I am enjoying looking out my window as I watch the snow fall. Here are a couple pictures of the snow so far!

It's The Most Wonderful Time of the Year

It really is the most wonderful time of the year!! I love seeing all the Christmas decorations and listening to all the classic Christmas songs on XM 23 when I am driving around in my car. The harbor is all decorated and last night they had a special Christmas night with fireworks, Christmas music and some of the stores were offering special treats. Fran and I topped off our evening with some hot chocolate from Godiva, it is simply the best hot chocolate EVER!

So baby update, I am officially 31 weeks! I included picture from baby center below, thats shows what baby looks like. At this point the baby weighs between 2.5-3.5 lbs they say. And oh is she active, kicking me all the time, I love it! I am not so fond of the 3 AM kicks, as they have started to wake me up, but it's okay! I have my 32 week appointment this week and then I am headed home to SC for my first baby shower and for the holidays. I can't wait!!!

This past week I went to the White House Christmas Party and the Vice President's Christmas Party. Fran had to work during the WH party so I went with my friend Jillian and her boyfriend. We had a great time. The White House is so beautiful this time of year. I can't even count on two hands the number of trees they have in the house. They had a children's choir singing and they had some delicious food. I had 2 plates worth, 1 for me and 1 for Bella of course, haha! We also had our fair share of dessert, haha. I included some pictures below from the party.

I will try and post some more over the holidays! Until then, I hope everyone has a very happy holiday!!

It's Beau! (Well made of our pipe cleaners I think?)

Thanksgiving and 30 Week Update!

Okay sorry I haven't posted anything in forever, I am a slacker! So where should I begin?? So the weekend before we headed down to SC for Thanksgiving, I attended my friend Angie's baby shower. The picture below is of Angie and all her pregnant friends at the shower. Needless to say there were quite a few of us, so many of the non-pregnant girls said they were NOT drinking the water, haha! Angie had a great shower and she actually just had her precious baby girl, Adora, today! She came about 15 days early, she was ready! I hope to go by and visit with them tomorrow!

Since the shower, we also told friends and family what our little girl's name will be! Isabella Marie Person! We will call her Bella! So that has been fun actually talking to her and calling her by her real name, haha, not just baby girl!

We headed to SC for Thanksgiving and had a great time! I ate SO MUCH food, but how can anyone resist good southern cooking! Especially the red velvet cake my mom made for us, yummy! The picture below is of me on Thanksgiving day at the 29 week mark. Needless to say it was a hot thanksgiving and boots was probably not the best idea for that day. I managed to keep in tradition and wake up at 4 AM to go shopping on Black Friday! I think I did it because I knew it involved a trip to the Original House of Pancakes! Its the best!

To top of a wonderful thanksgiving weekend, our Gamecocks beat Clemson for the 2nd year in a row! I even won the football pool we did at the house, yay!

So today I had my 30 week appointment. Everything is looking good and right on track! Miss Bella is very active, kicking and moving, all the time. She must think my bladder is a soccer ball, because I have to pee all the time! My belly is measuring on track and I have gained 19 pounds so far, so I am doing good. I was worried after being in SC thanksgiving, I would have gained more than I should but we did good! My doctor was happy! So my next appointment is the week before Christmas, and then I will start going more often, as we get closer and closer to the lil ones arrival.

Good luck to the Gamecocks this weekend in the SEC Championship!!! We will be pulling for you here in DC!!

Liz and Joe's Wedding Weekend!!

This weekend we were in Pennsylvania to celebrate Joe and Liz's Wedding!! Most of the family got to town on Thursday, and as you know Fran's side of the family is rather large, so there were lot's of us! 12 Nieces and Nephews and 10 Aunt's and Uncles to be exact, just in Fran's immediate family. So needless to say there were a lot of us and it was great to all be together and catch up! Thursday night was the Rehearsal Dinner. It was at a great Italian Restaurant. Me and Baby girl were very happy to indulge in some yummy Italian food! Friday afternoon was the wedding. The wedding was at Saint Dennis where Fran and all his siblings went to grade school, so it was neat to be there and hear there stories. The wedding was absolutely beautiful and Liz was a gorgeous bride! After the ceremony we all headed over to the reception which was at Overbrook Country Club. We started with a cocktail hour, which had some yummy food, and of course just water for this girl, haha! After the cocktail hour, we all got seated and had a lovely sit down dinner that was mixed with some dancing. They had a great band! I ditched the heels about 2 hours into the reception and went for the flip flops, since I stayed on the dance floor the entire night. I think I only took a break to eat the delicious Chocolate Chip wedding cake and indulge in the candy bar, haha! The wedding was on Friday so we had all day Saturday and Sunday to relax and recover! What made this weekend even better was that we all got together on Saturday night to watch the Gamecocks beat the Gators!!!! AMAZING!!! Fran and I could not be more excited for the SEC East Champs and hope to make it to the SEC Championship in December!

Liz and Joe are off to Saint Lucia! They are actually at the same place Fran and I went for our honeymoon. We tried to get them to pack us in their suitcases but it didn't work out. Hopefully they have an amazing trip and we can't wait to see them when they get back. I am very excited that Liz is officially my sister-in-law now and that they are going to be living in DC! I look forward to seeeing her and Joe a bunch! Baby girl even got a sweet gift from her new Aunt this weekend. You can see the picture below!

Adorable hat from Aunt Liz!

25 Week Update

Hey everyone! So I am 25 weeks and counting! I had my 25 week check up this past Thursday. Everything seems to be great. My belly is measuring right on schedule and baby girl is still kicking up a storm. She is very active thats for sure! Baby is measuring about the size of a rutabaga this week, haha, a rutabaga, can't Baby Center come up with some other sort of comparison! Sometime between now and 28 weeks I have to go do the dreaded Glucose test, ugh. From what I have heard the sugary drink they give you is really gross. Any tips would be greatly appreciated!

So news on the nursery, I have finally selected the crib bedding, which you can see below. I told myself I was not going to do pink but I found this bedding at Restoration Hardware and could not resist. It will go great with the furniture we are planning to put in that room and also the carpet that is in the babies room. Now I just need to get creative with curtains. I am going to see if someone will make for me!

Thursday evening I headed down to Williamsburg, VA for a 2 day Pediatric conference. I went back in time to the Colonial Period! If you have never been to Williamsburg, it is a really neat place, lot's of fun stuff to do. I stayed at the Williamsburg lodge and got to venture out a little bit to see the town. I definitely want to come back and spend some more time! I am heading home today to hopefully watch the SC game online and cheer on my Gamecocks. Fran and I may go see Saw 3D tonight, scary, but it's halloween, so it will be fun! Everyone have a nice halloween and Go GAMECOCKS!

Baby Bedding!!

Here is our little rutabaga, haha!

Shields Tavern where I had dinner last night, it was yummy colonial comfort food!

And yes I had some nice warm apple cider!!

Just a pic in Williamsburg, see they do dress up and everything!

October Update!

So sorry I have not posted in quite a while, we have been quite busy in this household! I have been doing quite a bit of travel for work and so has Fran. We are both ready for November to get here so our schedules slow down some!

Baby Girl Person has been quite active lately! Right around 20 weeks I could start to feel her moving around in my belly, but over the past couple of weeks she has been SUPER active. It's like she is having a party in my belly. She really loves to kick mommy's bladder, which is great fun for me! haha! The best part is that she is most active around 10-10:30 PM every night. Guess she is a night owl like me!

I am 24 weeks now and feeling great! I definitely have a belly now and it is only going to get bigger! Right now Baby P is just a little over a pound and she is about the size of an ear of corn, hence the picture below, haha! I go in this coming week for my next appointment, yay!

As far as this month goes, we have had some fun as well! We both went down to SC for the Alabama/SC game, need I say more! It was AMAZING! I think Baby P is fully ready for football games now. Her favorite song is going to be Sandstorm, haha. For those of you who don't know, the song Sandstorm is one they play all throughout the game and the stadium goes nuts! We danced and jumped up and down quite a bit during that game. Needless to say we were both really tired when the game was over. But GO GAMECOCKS! Below is a picture of me and my friend Blair who is also pregnant. Congrats to her and Alex!

Also, this month is breast care awareness month, so I have been pretty busy with my volunteer work at the Capital Breast Care Center. We had a whole series of events this past week and we had a great turnout. The picture below is from our open house event. My sister-in-law, Anne Marie and my soon to be sister-in-law Liz came to support the event as well. We had fun!

I also treated myself last weekend to a nice prenatal massage! It was so AMAZING! We did a special spa day for my soon to be sister-in-law Liz at the Four Seasons in Philly. We enjoyed the pool, got massages, and had a great lunch, that included chocolate covered strawberries for dessert! Yummy! We can't wait for Joe and Liz's big day, which is November 12, only a few weeks away!

As far as the nursery goes, my Dad got us a Pack-in-play! Fran and I put it together this week and we love it! It is in the nursery for now. I am sure it will make many trips with us!

Well until next time, everyone have a great weekend!! Love, Krystal, Fran and Baby Person

Baby Bedding

SO MANY CHOICES??? I like all of these really, haha. Anyways, I am working on finding some cute bedding for our baby girl! Things to keep in mind, the carpet in her room is a cream color as are her walls, which I am not sure if we can paint yet. Working on finding that out. If not, we plan on using wall art to decorate the room to go with the bedding . Any thoughts on your favorite bedding?

Shopping and First Belly Pic!

21 Weeks

This outfit is for Daddy!

So sweet and soft!

Gotta have something with chocolate and pink!

Couldn't resist the green either!

Okay so this is for when she is 2 years old, but it was on sale, we couldn't resist!

Baby's first Polo dress! She takes after her mommy!

Look at the little feet part on this one...looks like shoes!

Well as you can probably assume, the moment I found out I was having a girl, shopping was on the brain! My mom is in town and so we went shopping just to take a look, haha! We found some really cute outfits and I wanted to share Baby Person's new clothes with you! Also, I included my first belly picture! Earlier this week, I was working a conference and notice people were starting to look at my belly with that questoining look of hmmmm....is she pregnant or did she just gain some lbs! So I guess that means it is time to share!

It's a....

GIRL!!!! Fran and I found out today that we will be having a little girl in February! Let the clothes shopping and nursery planning begin! We are both so excited and feel so blessed. It was so neat to see how much she has grown in the past few weeks! She would not sit still during the ultrasound, she was moving all over the place! We tried to get a 3-D picture of her, but she kept putting her hands over her face. I guess she is a little camera shy at this point. She better grow out of that though, because I plan on taking LOTS of pictures! Here are some of the pictures from today:
That is her hand up by her face

Sweet baby!!
