Weekly Check up

So I had another weekly check up today, nothing really to report. I am 1 cm dilated as of today, wishing I was like 5, haha! But anyway, baby is still in position, just gotta get her moving now! Maybe next week I will have more to report.

In the meantime, please look at the onsie that daddy ordered for Bella! I just got it in the mail today, too cute. Perfect for her first trip home to SC!

37 Week Update

I had my 37 Week Appointment this past Thursday. Everything is good and right on track. I wanted the doctor to check the position of the baby, as she is so active I can't tell what is what and where she is in my belly? So the doctor checked and the baby is head down, ready to go, yay Bella!! Really nothing else to report from that visit. I hope to find out at my next appointment if I have dilated or effaced any. I will keep you posted! But for now, here is a pic of me at 37 weeks. I plan on doing alot of walking so maybe she will come early, haha!

Family Visit from SC

Fran and I at WH

I wanted to add another post from the weekend my family came up from SC. My mom, Tina, Claire, Aunt Frances and Aunt Kay all flew up for my baby shower, but also they stayed the weekend with us and we had a great time! They flew in on Thursday evening and right when they got here we headed over to the White House so Fran could show them where he works. We had a great time! After we got home, we ordered pizza and delicious guacamole from Rosa Mexicana. The next morning we walked over to see ICE. This year the ICE theme was the grinch. It was awesome! My little cousin Claire loved it, she must have gone down the ice slide like 3 times. One time she got stuck, like she couldn't slide, so she just laid down on the slide, it was hilarious! We then enjoyed lunch at Ketchup, well not sure I should say "enjoyed" because it was not that great. After we went shopping for a little bit and had hot chocolate, we headed out to Melissa's house to spend the night! We made a trip to Wegman's and got lot's of yummy food and drinks for dinner. My cousin Griffen and I sipped on Sparkling grape juice while everyone else enjoyed wine and champagne. Soon enough I will enjoy some myself! We had a great evening just hanging out and playing games. We also watched the Delaware Championship game, since Fran was there. Unfortunately, they lost, but we did get to see Fran on TV, it was funny! The next day the ladies were busy in the kitchen cooking up all the yummy food for the baby shower. We had a great time at the shower! It was perfect. Later that day we drove back over to our house and ordered chinese takeout from Grace's. It was delicious! That evening we looked at Bella's new stuff again and played the Wii. Claire was really good on the Wii Fit, the Yoga in particular! The next morning my family and Fran actually headed out of town, sad! I did enjoy time to rest though after a fun but tiring weekend!

DC Baby Shower

So thanks to my family, my cousin Melissa, my Aunt Frances and one of my best friends, Emily, I was able to have another shower in Virginia for all of my friends and family in the area! A special thanks to my mom, my cousin Tina, my cousin Claire, Aunt Kay and Aunt Frances who made the trip up from SC to be here for the shower! Melissa hosted the shower at her home and it was so beautiful! Her house is already so beautifuly decorated and then she pulled out all her fine china and silver for the occasion. The menu was all Southern Food, which I miss, because it is hard to find in DC, so it was perfect!! We had shrimp and grits, fried chicken, cheese biscuits, peach cobbler and sweet tea, just to mention a few of the items! And this food was all HOMEADE! I keep telling Melissa and Aunt Frances they should start their own catering business! It had snowed that night and morning, so I was worried some people wouldn't make it, but we had a GREAT turnout! Fran's family from PA was able to drive down, which was awesome and most of my friends and family in the area were able to make it as well. After we ate all the delicious food, we played a game thanks to Emily. The object of the game was to match celebrity baby names with their parents. I thought I was going to be sooo good at this game, but boy was I wrong. I mean I knew all the major ones like Suri Cruise, Brooklyn Beckham, Harlow Madden, etc...but there were some crazy ones on there that I had never heard of, nor would I ever think a parent could name their child some of these names. It was fun! We then opened gifts and had more food. Again, Fran, Bella and I are so blessed to have such amazing friends and family. We love you all! Here are some pics from that day:

South Carolina Baby Shower

Well this post is long overdue, but better late than never right. My family and friends in SC gave me a baby shower on December 18th in Columbia. Mama Tanner had the shower at her house and it was such a nice day! It was exta pretty because it was Christmas time and they had great decorations! The food was delicious and I had so many great friends and family come. I had friends drive rather far to attend the shower, so it mean't alot to me. Fran, Bella and I are truly blessed with the best friends and family anyone could ask for. A special thank you to all the hostesses who put this awesome shower together: Patsy, Shannon, Ashley, Tina, Natasha, Christa, and Melanie! It was such a nice time to catch up with friends and family and Miss Bella got sooo many nice things. Here are some pictures from that day:
