Bella's First Easter

We had a wonderful Easter, especially since it was Bella's first one ever! We are just so blessed to have this little angel in our life. We love her so much!! We spent the weekend in Pennsylvania and had a great time. Mommy and Daddy started off the weekend by going to the Flyers game on Friday night. They didn't win, but it was such a fun game. Good news, they won tonight and now move on to the next round of playoffs, woo hoo! Saturday we spent the day playing with all the cousins, dying eggs and making yummy stomboli. We had some serious games of baseball going on in the backyard. My nephew struck me out twice, he is awesome. That evening we enjoyed a nice cookout. After much peer pressure from my sister-in-laws, one in particular (you know who you are) I went out with the adults to hear a band play. It was really fun, it was the guy who was the lead from Blues Traveler and his new band. He played some of the old Blue's Traveler songs. Sunday everyone went to church and then we headed over to our Grandparent's (Bella's Great Grandparent's) house for lunch. We got to visit with some of our aunts and other cousins. After our visit there, it was back to Exton to cheer on the Flyers and eat some pizza! Here are a bunch of pictures from our Easter weekend. And please accept my apology as these pictures are all out of order. We all hope everyone had a great Easter!!

I really wanted to eat my Easter Dress!

Mommy's Lil Shopper

I can't remember who gave me this onesie but today seemed like a good day for Bella to wear it! With all the trips to the mall we made during my maternity leave, she is a great little shopper! I am excited for her to be able to go shopping with me and pick out stuff she likes, haha. Daddy won't know what to do with 2 girls swiping his card. We were just playing with her this evening and she was a smiling machine, we love it! So I caught a pic with my iPhone:

2 Month Check Up

Today was Bella's 2 Month Check Up! Again, I can't believe she is already 2 months old! Her appointment went really well. Everything looked great. So here are her stats:

Weight: 12 lbs. 8 oz. (90%)
Length: 23.5 inches (85%)
Head Circumference: 15.75 inches (80%)

So you can tell by those stats that we have quite the growing girl on our hands. She has gained almost 3 lbs. and about 2 inches in length since we took her for her 2 week check up. We are so happy that our baby girl is thriving! Each day she seems to smile and coo more, it is so adorable!

Now the worst part of this check up were her shots. She had to get 3 immunizations, 1 they gave her orally so that was easy, but the other 2 went in her legs, 1 in each. It broke my heart to see her cry like that, but it only lasted like a minute. Right after I picked her up and held her a bit she was fine. She has been a little fussy this evening but Daddy made her feel all better!

We did a lot of snuggling this evening to make our girl feel better!

2 Months Old!

Bella turned 2 months old this past Thursday! We can't believe our baby girl is already 2 months old. She is just so sweet and we love her so much. So whats been going on with her lately...well the biggest thing is her smiling! She smiles all the time now and we just love it. We find ourselves always staring at her to see those beautiful smiles. Bella is also much more awake and alert these days. She still naps but not as much. Now we can go to dinner with her and she will just sit in her car seat and look around, it's so sweet. Bella is also starting to talk alot, well you know what I mean, not words, but cooing and sounds! It's so adorable. In the books they say to repeat them and so when she makes the coos I will repeat her and sometimes she will do it again.

We can't wait to see how big she is. We go to the doctor on Tuesday for her 2 month visit. Ouch, you know what this means, 4 shots! I am dreading taking her. Hopefully she will not get too upset. However, I am sure if she cries during the shots, once we hold her and feed her all will be right in the world.

So here was her 2 month birthday picture! Not a very good one, as I didn't realize the stickerwas so transparent. I was trying to be cute and match it with a purple onesie and it had a cupcake on it which I thought the sticker would cover. Well not really, as you can see, haha!

Yay I am 2 Months!

Smiling and playing with Daddy

Today, mommy and daddy's friends, Lucy and Emily, came by for a visit! Miss Emily saw Bella in the hospital but hadn't seen her since and This was Miss Lucy's first visit. We all went to lunch at Ketchup and had a great time. Here are a few pics of the girls!

Our Favorite Part of the Day

Our favorite part of the day is when we are both done with work and we get to see our baby girl! It is the best feeling to see her after a long day. We miss her all the time. Below are some pictures of our evenings with her. Also, today is Bella's 2 month birthday! We can believe it! I will be doing a 2 month post tomorrow!

Back to work

So unfortunately after enjoying so much time with my sweet baby girl over the past couple months, I had to go back to work this week! I was very sad about not spending the whole day with Bella, but it is also going to be nice to get in a routine again and stuff. I am not going to lie, it has been really hard. I have shed many tears. This morning I cried before I took her and after I dropped her off, how pathetic, haha. Hopefully, it will get easier and easier. The best part of the day was when I picked her up, she smiled at me! So melted my heart. Here are a few pictures from stuff we did this week together!
Believe it or not it was 80 degrees in Washington on Monday, so we took a long walk in the stoller. I put her sun hat on her!
After Bath time, we decided to put her robe and slippers on that Miss Kellen gave her. She was already mad because she was cold, so this just added to it, haha!

White House Garden Tour

This Sunday we took Bella on the White House Garden Tour. She loved it...ha she just slept the whole time, LOL. But it was a nice day and it is just so beautiful to see the grounds of the White House. We took Aunt Liz and our friend Beth with us as well. My favorite part was seeing the Kitchen Garden! Here are some of our pictures:
Since she was asleep I didn't want to take her out of the stroller, so this is about the best photo op we got!

Bella has gotten big!

Okay so hopefully Bella won't get mad at me one day for posting these bath pics of her on this blog, but I was just looking through her pictures and you can really tell how big she has gotten by comparing her bath pics. The first picture was the day after we brought her home and the second picture is of her this week. Our baby has grown quite a bit!! She is 7 weeks today! Oh we just love her!!

Rainy Day and Visitors

Today is a cold and rainy day here in Washington, DC, so Mommy and Mimi decided it would be fun to play dress up with Bella! We only put a couple things on her. She actually didn't mind it. Here are a couple pics:
Our little Flapper Girl!

Sweet bonnet Aunt Frances gave her!

We did have some very special visitors today!! Bella's Aunt JoJo, Uncle Dan and twin cousins, Julius and Naomi came by to see me. They just moved from California to Maryland and we couldn't be more excited to have them close again. The twins were so cute and couldn't wait to hold Miss Bella. When she was crying, Julius recommended some milk to make her feel better, it was so sweet. Mommy was so excited to catch up with Aunt JoJo and Uncle Dan. We enjoyed a delicious lunch at Elevation Burger and some yummy hot drinks from Mayorga Coffee. Even though they could only stay a few hours, we are going to get to see them all the time since they are just an hour away. Bella is excited to get a little bigger so she can play with her cousins! Here a few pictures from their visit:

Visit to Annapolis and New Toy

Today Mimi, Bella and I went to Annapolis! We started our day off at Cantler's and enjoyed some yummy crab legs and shrimp. We sat out on the porch which overlooks the water, it was a beautiful day to sit out there. After Cantler's we went to Downtown Annapolis to walk around and take a stroll through the Naval Academy. We had a great time and really enjoyed our fun girl day trip! Here are some pictures:

Me and my sweet girl!

This week Mimi and I went and got Bella an activity mat. Poor girl needed something fun to look at other than these boring walls in our apartment, haha. Good news, she loves her new activity mat!
