It's a....

GIRL!!!! Fran and I found out today that we will be having a little girl in February! Let the clothes shopping and nursery planning begin! We are both so excited and feel so blessed. It was so neat to see how much she has grown in the past few weeks! She would not sit still during the ultrasound, she was moving all over the place! We tried to get a 3-D picture of her, but she kept putting her hands over her face. I guess she is a little camera shy at this point. She better grow out of that though, because I plan on taking LOTS of pictures! Here are some of the pictures from today:

1 Week from Today!!

Okay so you are probably wondering what the pictures are. Well the first one is where I am today, 19 weeks. This is what the BabyCenter says the baby looks like as of today. Wow, seems like that baby looks really uncomfortable, guessing mine is as well, haha. But it is so amazing how fast the baby grows and I am almost half way there! The second picture is of an Heirloom tomato, which is also what the BabyCenter says about how big our baby is today. So instead of calling them baby girl or baby boy, I can just go with Baby Tomato for now, ha!
Next Thursday, 1 week from today, we find out if we are having a Lil Miss or Lil Mr.!!! We can't wait! I am so excited to start thinking more seriously about names and also planning nursery stuff, well and of course CLOTHES SHOPPING!!! YAY!
Until then, back to work and looking forward to the weekend. We will be tuned in to ESPN on Saturday night at 7:45 for the big game. GO GAMECOCKS!!!

Baby Person's First SC Football Game!

So this weekend we went down to Columbia! We spent time with family and friends and went to the football game. Baby Person went to his/her first SC Football Game and boy was it a great one for him/her to go to. Mom made delicious breakfast biscuits for tailgating to start the day off right. It was a little hot, but we made it through the whole game. It may have been a little loud for Baby P, the stadium was crazy!! However, that did stop me from cheering and dancing to celebrate an excellent game!! We are so proud of the Gamecocks!! And this was just the first of many many games this baby will go to, haha! They are going to be born a Gamecock fan, there is just no choice in that matter, ha. I tried to take a picture of the scoreboard as you can see below, but it didn't really turn out, haha. Dad and I went shopping on Friday. We had fun! Dad is going to get Baby Person a Pack-in-Play, so we went to Babies-R-Us to look around. I think we definitely found the one we want to get, but now I am deciding on colors. The picture below is of the one I think I want. Also, when I got home from SC, I had my first Zulily purchase in the mail. You can see the outfit below, it's too cute, and can be for a boy or a girl, haha!

Final Score: 17-6 Carolina

Weekend in NYC!!

Fran, Baby P and I went up to NYC for the weekend! We started our weekend in NYC with a nice dinner with friends at Tao! Our reservation was for 10:15, but I don't think we actually got seated until like 11:30, so needless to say I was starving! Fran enjoyed some sushi and sake, while I had some vegetarian spring rolls and veggie fried rice. It was delicious. We stayed at Tao pretty late to enjoy spending time with friends. Saturday morning we slept late and then enjoyed a delicious breakfast at Zabars! I had a nice big bagel with cream cheese and a freshly squeezed orange juice. Freshly squeezed orange juice is something I have been craving lately and didn't realize it. Fran pointed it out to me, as Orange Juice is not something I normally drink but it is so delicious, well if it is freshly squeezed OJ, there is a difference. After breakfast, we went on 2.5 hour walk through central park. It was beautiful and the park was full of people enjoying the nice day. We walked around the Jackie Kennedy Reservoir, took a walk through a trail called the Rambler and watched people on the row boats. After our long walk, we relaxed on the couch and watched college football! YAY, so glad it is football season again. After resting, we met up with Kyle and Tatiana for dinner in Little Italy at La Mela. La Mela offers family style eating and that is what we did. We started with some fresh mozzarella and tomato. Our second plate was full of hot antipasta which included asparagus, stuffed mushrooms, roasted peppers and some cheese bread thing. Then we moved on to the pasta plate, which included Gnocchi, Rigatoni, and Tortelloni pasta! After that our meat plate arrived, which had chicken, shrimp and veal. It was delicious!!! Needless to say, Baby P was very happy with that meal! Later that night we met up with friends at the top of the Empire Hotel, which had a great rooftop bar. We then decided we were all hungry again, oddly enough, and headed to Times Square to enjoy some late night eating at Tonic. Fran and I slept in this morning and then headed back to DC. We wanted to beat the labor day traffic. We had a great time in NYC and can't wait to go back. We hope you all had a great weekend and GO GAMECOCKS! PS...I tried to put these pictures in order, but it didn't work, oops. There will also be more pictures to come as I will have to get them from my friend's cameras!
