First Evening Out and Visitors

We have had such a great weekend! Uncle Petey and Grandaddy Harry got here late last night, well actually in the wee morning hours today. So today we just hung around the house and Bella got to spend time with her family. She was such a good girl today! Uncle Petey was holding her tonight and she gave him a special treat, LOL! Uncle Petey immediately claimed he didn't know how to change a diaper!

Tonight we had our first big night out. We all went to dinner at Hops. Bella was so good. She just slept the whole time, it was great! We will have to try and get out more often. It was nice to get dressed up and feel normal again, lol.

We have exciting things to look forward to over the next couple of weeks. Baby Kylie will be here anyday and we will know if Baby Foster will be a boy or a girl on March 7th! We can't wait! We will be sad for Mimi to leave tomorrow. She has been here all week with us and Bella loves to nap with her Mimi. Mimi has been a huge help to mommy and daddy this week! Mimi will be back soon to visit I am sure!

Hope everyone had a great weekend!!

Weight Check and First Shopping Trip

Today we took Bella back to see Dr. Arnold to do a weight check. Good news, Bella has gained a little over 3 oz. since Wednesday so we are on the right track! She should be back to her birth weight in no time now.

Also, we took our first shopping trip to day to Babies R Us. We needed to get some stuff for mommy and also some stuff for the lil miss. Bella fell asleep in her car seat on the way, so she just stayed in the car with daddy while me and Mimi did the shopping.

We are excited for the weekend as Bella will meet her Uncle Petey and Grandaddy Harry! They are driving up this evening and will be here till Sunday.

Hope everyone has a great weekend!!

Ready to go shopping!

First visit to Pediatrician

Today we took Bella for her first visit with the Pediatrician! She was such a good girl. She did a little bit of crying when the doctor was checking everything, but other than that she was such a sweet girl. Dr. Arnold said everything looked good and she was a very healthy little baby. Good news, Bella has already gained back some weight since leaving the doctors office! Yay, that made feel good, as its hard to tell when you breastfeed how much she is actually getting! We will go back Wednesday to check her weight again. As for now she is 67.9 percentile for her weight, 99.5 percentile for her length (shocker there, look at her daddy) and 92.2 percentile for her head circumference.

Tonight we are just going to be cuddling up as we are expecting Bella's first snow storm! Mom and Fran went to the grocery store to get some good munchies so we are all set here!

Isabella Marie's Birthday!

After 41 long weeks, we welcomed our beautiful baby girl into the world! Bella arrived on February 17th at 7:46 AM! I was scheduled to be induced on February 17th at 7:30 AM, however Miss Bella had some plans of her own. All day on the 16th I was feeling kind of crampy and had some lower back pain. I didn't really think too much of it, since I was going to be induced the next day. I was trying to enjoy the day seeing that I was going to be in labor all of that next day. I decided I should go get a haircut, so I did that and then wrapped on a few last minute errands for our little girl's arrival. Fran, Mimi and I went to dinner at our favorite Chinese restaurant where we live that evening. We enjoyed our favorite meals! After dinner, Dad and Gina got to town so we went and met them. They hadn't eaten so we went with them while they had dinner and I enjoyed a huge brownie sundae. It was delicious! After a long fun day, I tried to go to bed and get some rest. Well that didn't really happen. Around midnight, I started having contractions and they were pretty uncomfortable. I tried laying there as long as I could. Around 1:30 I decided to call the doctor to see what they thought. The doctor called me back about 1 hour later and I told him I had been having contractions for around 2 hours and he said "Okay see you at the hospital." It was funny, he was so casual about it, so anyway Fran and I got ready (bags were already in the car) and we were on our way to GW. We arrived at GW around 3:30 AM and they already had my room ready for me.

So I got decked out in the all so fabulous hospital gown and they hooked me up to the machines and all that good stuff. The doctor came in to check me and I was 3 CM but fully effaced, so good progress. I told him I wanted an epidural and he called for anesthesia right away. I got my epidural around 4:30 PM. It didn't hurt at all and I was feeling good after that. My legs were all tingly and stuff! I felt pretty good for about 1 hour and I was going to try and get some rest, but then all of a sudden my contractions got significantly worse and much closer together. Needless to say I had gone from 3 cm to 7 cm really quickly! And my water broke and I didn't even know it. By 7:15 ish I was at 10 cm and ready to push! It all happened so fast. So after pushing for 30 minutes, Miss Bella made her grand entrance!

She immediately cried, which was the best sound I have ever heard! It was the sweetest little cry. The doctors then put her on my chest and I couldn't get over how much hair she had and how big she was. She was beautiful! Of course all I could do was cry, because I was so happy and so nice to finally be holding our baby in my arms. I waited 10 months to meet her and it was the most amazing feeling in the world!

I am writing this blogpost now from the hospital. We get to go home tomorrow, yay!! I am watching Fran walk around with Bella now and just love on her. He has been amazing throughout this whole process and I could not have done it without him. He is the best daddy! We have so enjoyed spending these past couple days with our sweet baby and we can't wait to go home tomorrow.

Here are just a few pictures from Bella's birthday! Believe me, there will be many more!

Happy Due Date

So today is our due date?? I think Miss Isabella Marie Person would like to wait a few more days if you ask me. She is enjoying being in my bellly I think, although I feel like she is running out of room in there. I mean seriously! So some people think she will come Sunday, lot's say Monday, which would be really cool since it is Valentine's Day! If she comes Tuesday she will share a birthday with her Uncle Andy and her Cousin Elise, so that would be fun as well. My dad would like her to come on the 19th, his birthday, but geez I don't know if I can go that much longer. I included a picture of us at 40 Weeks! Yikes big belly!

Fran and I treated today as any other day, I mean obvioulsy waiting for something to happen, but we went to the movies and dinner tonight. We saw Just Go With It. It was hilarious. You all must go see it. Then we went to dinner at this great restaurant that has brick oven pizza. We had a white proscuitto pizza and it was delicious!

So I started thinking about what we were up to this time last year and boy were we busy! We started our February with the Superbowl in Miami with our friends and had a blast. Fran's best friend played for the Saints, so that made the trip even sweeter since they won. Here is a picture of us on game day last year!

Shortly after the Superbowl, we headed to Vancouver, Canada for the Olympics! Vancouver is one of the most beautiful places I have ever been. Since Fran had to work most of the time, I would go and tour the city and walk around. I didn't go to any events, but it was just really neat to be in Vancouver with all of the excitement of the Olympics! This is a picture of me and our friend Ryan holding the torch. Someone happened to have it in the lobby of our hotel so they let us hold it and take a picture! So cool!

We have been truly blessed over this past year and we can't wait for the arrival of our baby girl! Her arrival will be more exciting than anything we have ever experienced I am sure!

So we are ready for you Miss Bella! You come out when you are ready. We love you!

Everyone have a great weekend and a Happy Valentine's Day if I don't post before then!

39 Week Update

Hey everyone! So I had my weekly appointment today and really nothing too exciting to report. I am 2 cm dilated, only 1 cm more than last week, so I guess that is better than nothing. Anyway, the doctor told me to come in next Tuesday as planned for my next appointment, unless of course Bella decides to come out and meet the world!! The doctor also asked me to schedule an NST and Ultrasound for next Tuesday as well. This is a non-stress test they will do to check in on the baby. Since I will be past due at that point they like to do this test to make sure the baby is healthy and not having any distress and that my amniotic fluid levels are good. If all is good, I will just continue on. If they are worried about anything or see any issues they will induce me. If all is good as I said before, I will continue on, but the doctor today said they probably wouldn't let me go past 41.5 weeks. So there is a light at the end of the tunnel. I am hoping that Bella comes before next Tuesday. I am going to keep walking, sitting on my exercise ball, taking some warm baths and get Fran to rub the pressure points in my feet to try and help her out a little, haha. So until then we are just still on baby watch! Love you guys!

38 Week Update

Hey everyone! So I am 38 weeks and 4 days and VERY ready for Miss Bella to make her debut! I went to the doctor today and I am 100% effaced, so that is good. Now hopefully I will really start to dilate and things will start to happen. We shall see! So my hospital bags are packed, hence the picture below, and we are ready. I also included a 38 week picture. Hopefully next time I blog, I will be further along in process or she will be on her way! Love you all!
