Yesterday I took Bella with me to see my friend Angie and her precious baby girl Adora! I have not seen Adora since she was about 2 weeks old and oh my goodness has she grown. She is such a beautiful baby and I love her hair! So Angie and I have been trying to get our girls together for months, so we finally made it happen yesterday. Bella and Adora loved looking at each other and maybe even pulling each other's hair, haha. I think they are going to be BFF's. Bella really wants to borrow Adora's pants when she grows out of them!!

Couple of firsts
Bella has had a couple of "Firsts" that I wanted to share with everyone! The first one is that we were visiting with our brother-in-law and our niece and nephew in Maryland and Bella decided to sit up by herself like a big girl! Ever since then she has been sitting up like a big girl, we can't believe it! The next "First" is Bella flying on an airplane! This past Friday Bella and I flew down to SC. We had to stop in Atlanta, which I really didn't want to do, but it was fine. Bella was such a good girl on the plane. She basically slept the whole time, other than having a bottle and some rice cereal and looking out the window! Here are some pictures!

5 Months!
Believe it or not Miss Bella is 5 months old today! I can't believe it, she is almost half a year old, wow time flies. We fall more in love with her everyday. She is really starting to get a personality and she is too funny. Bella loves to smile and laugh. She also is really starting to understand how to "play". She loves her toys now. Anything she can chew on especially! In fact lately, her foot is her cheapest toy! When I change her diaper now all she wants is one of her feet in her mouth. It's great when I am cleaning her and stuff, but not when I am trying to put a new diaper on, haha. Bella also really wants to sit up now. It's so funny, she will be laying down and try her best to use her strength to sit up...little does she know, she is not quite there yet. However, I think she will be sitting up very soon. Her latest thing with tummy time, is that she wants to crawl. We put toys out of her reach and she wants to get them. She will put her face down and stick her little tush up in the air and try to move her legs and she does quite a good job with that! I am not sure if I am ready to be chasing a crawling baby around. Bella is really enjoying rice cereal and her first vegetable of squash. She just can't seem to get enough. Next I am going to try sweet potatoes, then maybe green peas, yummy! Not too much else going on, we are just enjoying our summer and swimming in the pool. We are going to go to SC next weekend, we can't wait! Bella is going to fly for the first time, yikes! Wish us luck. I have tried to plan ticket around her feeding times. Apparently if the baby is sucking on something, it helps with the ears as the plane takes off and descends. We shall see. I can't wait to see my family and friends. I am especially excited to see my BF Ashley and her precious baby belly! Baby Hampton is not due until July 27th, but I told her we are walking every night I am home and that little boy is going to come out when I am there!!! Bella said so too. Fingers crossed! Until then, here are some of Bella's 5 month pics!

4th of July Weekend
We had a great 4th of July Weekend! Bella got a special visit from her Mimi and Grandaddy Harry! Bella got spoiled basically, haha. We went out to eat, cooked lot's of yummy foods, went walking around, and watched the fireworks on Saturday and Sunday night! I even tried paddle boarding on the Potomac, which was so fun. It wasn't as hard as I thought and would love to try it again! I will have to get Mimi to send her pictures to me since my camera was dead until I got new batteries on Monday, oops! Here are some pictures from their weekend visit:
My new favorite sport!

Too cool for my shades
One of her many 4th of July outfits
I had to dress her for the occasion!
On Monday, Fran, Bella and I spent the day relaxing out on our porch listening to music. Bella fell sound asleep in the big chair on our porch, it was too cute. I put umbrella over her and also a fan near her, as it was hot! She took a good long nap. Later that afternoon we packed up and headed over to the White House for the 4th of July festivities and fireworks. Bella was such a good girl. Once we got there we laid our blanked down and claimed our spot for the fireworks! We then walked around for quite a bit just checking everything out and taking pictures. Finally around 8:30 we fed Bella her bottle and she fell right to sleep in her stroller. Train had just started to play and she didn't even budge, haha. Train was awesome though! They played 2 of my favorites "Marry Me" and "Hey Soul Sister". It was awesome! Literally about 30 seconds before the fireworks started Bella woke up and she watched the whole thing. It was super loud but she loved every second. It was so cute! Here are some pictures we took:

I should point out our latest hair issue in the picture, as you can tell, she has almost lost a whole section of hair on her left hand side, it's so pitiful, it's like we took a razor to her poor little head!
Such a sweet picture!
Time for Solids!
So as you know from previous posts, we started Bella on Rice Cereal a couple weeks ago. The doctor told us we could go ahead and introduce some solids as well, so we decided to start on that project! I decided that I wanted to make all of Bella's foods myself, so I had to order a baby food maker. I decided to order the Baby Bullet. It was a really good deal and came with all sorts of cool accessories. So once I got the Baby Bullet, I went and picked up some fresh produce on my way home from a meeting in DE. I decided I would start Bella with some yellow squash. It was so easy to make and I have some in the freezer to feed her later. It makes a bunch! So at first Bella kind of made a funny face, which I captured below, but then she couldn't get enough of it!
My new toy!
Her funny "What is this?" face
Give me more please!!
